Interior Painting Toronto
Protect Your Home Elevate Your Curb Appeal
Interior painting is the single highest-impact change you can make to any room. New colour on walls that haven’t been painted in years transforms how a space feels — not just how it looks. It affects the light, the energy, and how much you enjoy being in your own home.
At Shaq’s Painting Inc., we treat every interior painting job as what it is: work done inside someone’s home. We protect your floors, furniture, and belongings before a drop of paint goes on. We patch nail holes and minor wall imperfections as standard. We sand between coats on trim for a clean, professional finish. And we clean up completely before we leave.
“Interior painting done properly takes preparation, patience, and the right products. We don’t cut corners on any of the three — that’s what separates a paint job that looks great for a week from one that holds up for years.”

Best for: Ceilings, guest bedrooms, low-traffic areas
Eggshell
Slight sheen, similar to the surface of an eggshell. More washable than flat. The most popular finish for Toronto living rooms, dining rooms, and master bedrooms — balances appearance with practicality.

Satin
Visible sheen, highly washable, and resistant to moisture and mould. The right choice for high-traffic areas, kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, and children's rooms. Slight reflectivity can highlight wall imperfections.
Best for: Kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, kids' rooms
Semi-Gloss & Gloss
High sheen, extremely durable, and easy to clean. The professional choice for all trim, baseboards, door frames, and doors. Semi-gloss on trim alongside eggshell on walls is the standard Toronto home combination.

How it works
How Every Interor Project Works
We visit your home, assess each room, discuss colours and finishes, and give you a detailed written quote. Fixed price. No hourly billing. No surprises on invoice day.
We move furniture, cover floors with drop cloths, patch nail holes and minor wall damage, sand rough areas, and tape all edges. Surface prep determines how long your paint job lasts.
Dark colour changes, bare drywall, stains, and water marks all need primer before topcoat. We apply primer where it’s required — it’s included in your quote, not an add-on.
We apply two full coats of premium paint using the appropriate technique for each surface — cutting in edges by brush, rolling walls and ceilings, and using enamel on trim.
We inspect every surface with you and fix any touch-up points before leaving. Furniture is returned to position. Drop cloths, tape, and all paint materials are removed. Your home is left clean.
Free On-Site Estimate
We visit your property and assess every surface in person — siding condition, trim, height, access, and prep requirements. You receive a detailed written quote. Fixed price. No surprises.
Surface Preparation
Power washing, scraping loose paint, sanding rough edges, caulking gaps and cracks, masking windows and landscaping. Prep is 60% of the job — this is where quality is built or lost.
Priming
Bare or repaired surfaces receive a purpose-specific primer — masonry primer for brick, bonding primer for siding, spot primer for wood. Primer locks the finish coat and dramatically extends paint life.
Two-Coat Finish
We apply two full coats of premium exterior paint using the correct technique for each surface — brush, roller, or airless spray. Each coat is inspected before the next is applied.
Final walkthrough
We inspect every surface with you before we leave. Touch-ups are done on the spot. Your property is left clean — no paint debris, no protective coverings left behind.

Painting your interior before listing your Toronto home can deliver an average return of 107% on investment — fresh neutral paint is among the highest-ROI improvements you can make before a sale.

Call +1 (437) 907-6788Yes — interior painting is fully available year-round. We manage all prep, ventilation and temperature requirements to ensure perfect curing regardless of the season outside.
A standard bedroom (walls only) runs $400-$800 + HST. With ceilings, trim, and doors included, the full-room cost is $600-$1,200 depending on size and condition. A full 3-bedroom house typically runs $4,500-$9,000 with everything included. We give you a fixed written quote after assessing in person.
Yes. We move furniture to the centre of the room and cover everything with canvas drop cloths. Floors are fully protected throughout. You don’t need to do anything before we arrive except remove small personal items and valuables.
We use professional-grade interior paints — Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, and equivalent professional-tier products. We don’t use contractor-grade paints because they cover less, require more coats, and fail sooner. Every product is documented in your written quote before work begins.
How long before I can use the room after painting? A: Most interior latex paints are dry to the touch in 1-2 hours and ready for a second coat in 4 hours. Rooms are typically usable the same day for light activity. Full cure — furniture reinstalled, normal use — takes 24-48 hours. We’ll give you specific timing based on the products used on your project.
Yes — this is standard for the majority of our projects. We work room-by-room and maintain clear access through the home at all times. We use low-VOC paints to minimise odour. Most families live normally throughout an interior painting project
We provide practical colour guidance on every project: advising on what works for your lighting, trim colour, and goal (resale neutral vs. personal expression). For a full professional colour consultation, we recommend a Benjamin Moore or Sherwin-Williams colour consultant before booking — we can refer you to ones we work with regularly.
